Balls, bowls and books! …
by EQI Member: Denise C.
Hi everyone.
Hope you have all managed to keep well and sane during this long lockdown.
I have kept myself busy making things for my two little grandsons. Lots of pyjamas are needed as they grow so fast and need flannelette and light cotton with the weather fluctuations and one living in Darwin.
I have been making them some balls for their Christmas stockings with rattles inside.
The front covers of their Farmer Joe’s Quiet Books are almost finished with the face details left to embroider. Now to start the inside pages. Not using up much fabric with these but very enjoyable.
I am so looking forward to the meetings starting again as I am sure everyone else is.
Keep sewing
Denise 😊

Lovely work, Denise. The kids will love them. They are so colorful Many years ago, mum made the balls with felt and hat elastic on top, like a yo-yo, and sold them at fetes. Always popular. It must be 60 years ago.
Thanks Lorraine. The ball your Mum made sound great, i must try that.
What fun making the books and bowls. I wish I had some small people to make for.
