Sixteenths and solids …
by EQI Member: Tamara S.
This is the first block of 9 for a quilt for my niece. It’s an Elizabeth Hartman pattern called ‘Lisa the Unicorn’. All fabrics except the white solid are Tula Pink solids/prints.
This is a plus quilt, a free pattern from Quilty Love, for my neighbour of 43 years who has recently been diagnosed with the dreaded cancer. I started with a solids bundle of 16 fat 1/16ths and added a few extra solids and some prints. The reason the background colour changes is that we were in lockdown and I ran out of the first two aqua-ish solids I was using.
The lighting in these photos is pretty crap and don’t do the colours justice.
Kindest regards
Tamara S.

Love the unicorn. It will be loved. The change of background fabric is a plus!!! It looks great and I am sure a great comfort to her when she snuggles under it
